The project relevance is determined by its focus on implementing the concept of creating a national critical infrastructure protection system, which defines the security and resilience of transport infrastructure as ensuring national security. Addressing these objectives is associated with: developing failure risk assessment methods that incorporate ground-penetrating radar diagnostics data, account for variations in geometric and physical-mechanical parameters, and address stress-strain state heterogeneity; developing novel ground-penetrating radar antenna system designs and application methodologies. The project aim is to develop a comprehensive set of ground-penetrating radar diagnostic methods and tools for assessing the reliability of multilayer structurally heterogeneous constructions. The main scientific results of the project include: 1) indicators and criteria for assessing the reliability of structurally heterogeneous constructions that account for variations in geometric parameters and stress-strain state indicators; 2) patterns of stress-strain state changes in plane-layered structures with continuity violations; 3) methods for analyzing electromagnetic fields with variable polarization states; 4) an improved Wiener deconvolution method for solving thickness measurement problems; 5) methods for enhancing ground-penetrating radar resolution based on antenna system parameter optimization; 6) a design of ground-penetrating radar antenna systems that enables registration of the polarization state of signals reflected from subsurface heterogeneities. The scientific novelty is provided by the method for assessing the reliability of multilayer structurally heterogeneous constructions, which is based on: information about the subsurface structure of constructions; the relationship between the coefficient of variation of technical and operational condition indicators and the reliability coefficient; and determination of limit states and structural failure risk.
