The relevance of the topic “Innovative technologies in the research and development of children with intellectual and speech impairments in the current conditions of special and inclusive education” is determined by contemporary socio-economic and demographic factors that shape the growing need to organize support for children with speech and intellectual impairments. The increase in the prevalence of chronic diseases, the consequences of the war with Russia and stress overload, as well as the trend towards an ageing society, make it urgent to find effective methods of support, correction and rehabilitation of functional disorders in children and adults with speech and intellectual development disorders. The object of the study is the process of organizing speech therapy work with different population groups and methodological aspects of the educational process with children with intellectual disabilities in modern socio-economic and demographic conditions, including the rehabilitation needs of people affected by military actions. The purpose of the study is to provide theoretical and practical justification for innovative technologies in speech therapy and methodological aspects of the educational process with children with intellectual disabilities, and to develop comprehensive programs to assist individuals with these disabilities.
