The resulting product after preclinical and clinical trials, will be a medical means providing a stop or slowing of internal bleeding, a significant reduction in the risk of sepsis before surgical care, and suitable for use in the field. popup.description2 Studies on the composition of hydrogel formulations based on gelatin, sodium alginate, their derivatives, and polyvinyl alcohol, capable of forming porous hydrogel masses in the abdominal cavity environment, were conducted, and their properties were determined based on the formation conditions. It has been demonstrated that the best composition for creating emergency aid for penetrating abdominal injuries is a two-component hydrogel based on derivatives of sodium alginate and chitosan. Methods for incorporating colloidal silver particles and adrenaline into hydrogel compositions based on derivatives of sodium alginate and chitosan have been developed to ensure these formulations possess bactericidal and hemostatic properties. Pharmacokinetic studies measuring the release rate of adrenaline from the porous hydrogel mass were performed, revealing that it causes vasoconstriction in the wound area. The analysis of these studies indicates that the theoretical foundation for developing a hydrogel agent for emergency care of penetrating abdominal injuries has been established in line with the concept outlined in this research. For practical application in laboratory animal testing, dosing devices consisting of a two-chamber polymer syringe with a mechanical dispenser have been created. To facilitate field use, a disposable, portable foam generator has been designed with mass production in mind. During the analysis of the studies and their discussion with doctors, it was determined that the scope of application for the obtained results could be expanded. A two-component alginate hydrogel containing colloidal silver was developed to block fistulas in internal organs. Currently, organizational work to test this composition in laboratory animals is in progress. Product Description popup.authors Bukartyk Nataliya M Nadashkevych Zoriana Ya.
