These developments will make it possible to improve the military and technical support of the Armed Forces and make Ukraine independent of imports in this product segment. popup.description2 Materials synthesized using special methods allowed obtaining nanoscale structured composite gas diffusion electrodes, which provided a developed and stable two-phase interface “electrolyte film on the surface of the electrocatalyst – gas environment”. Based on this, an original electrochemical system with 3D electrodes based on valve metals with catalysts made of semiconductor oxides and transition metal chalcogenides or framework organic compounds and mediators of the oxidation process of hydrazine compounds was developed. This allowed creating a sensor for determining the concentration of hydrazine, which reacts to the toxic component in 120 seconds and does not contain platinum or gold as an indicator electrode, which increased its selectivity. The use of a low-temperature proton-conducting electrolyte for a flow analysis device made it possible to minimize the problems of water mass transfer between a medium with 100% relative humidity and the aqueous electrolyte of a traditional electrochemical sensor and allowed the use of such an electrochemical system in flow analysis devices for aqueous media without the risk of uncontrolled increase in the volume of the electrolyte, which is typical for systems with an aqueous solution. The initial characteristics of such a device are determined by the properties of a hydrophobic gas-permeable membrane that separates the flow of the aqueous analyte and the electrochemical system. As a result of the research and scientific results obtained, methods for using the developed electrochemical devices to determine the concentration of hydrazine compounds in gas and aqueous media have been created. The scientific and technical task of creating domestic gas analytical equipment for monitoring gas and aqueous media for the content of hydrazine compounds, which in its technical and economic characteristics exceeds world standards, has been solved.
