The aim of the research was to study the specific features of developing sugar beet hybrids based on a two-line maternal component, to investigate the phenotypic expression and genetic control of economically valuable traits related to productivity elements, and to select valuable breeding samples to enrich station trait collections and maximize the crop’s productivity potential. The practical significance lies in enriching the collection of sterile forms used as hybrid components with heterogeneous samples of the simple-sterile-hybrid type; obtaining and evaluating three-line CMS sugar beet hybrids developed on their basis; and selecting the best of them that exhibit competitive heterosis. The breeding process for creating high-yielding, environmentally plastic, and stable genotypes has been improved. Its stages formed the basis of the scientific-methodological recommendations “Development of Three-Line CMS Hybrids of Sugar Beet (Beta vulgaris L.) with Enhanced Productivity.”
