The following varieties exceeded 5.0 t/ha: Avers, Shchedryk, Reserve, Reprise, General and Shubin, Pokolenie. In 2025, the highest yield was obtained by the variety Bunchuk (DSARS NAAS) - 6.06 t/ha. Donors and sources of increased adaptability in terms of yield were identified, the use of which made it possible to create source material for further use in breeding work. Over five years of research, the highest stability coefficient was observed in the Staly variety (1.43), and the lowest in the Stepovik (0.88) and Bravyi (0.93) varieties. According to the results of plasticity parameters, the intensive varieties that respond to improved conditions (yield regression coefficient bi ˃1) include the spring barley varieties Donetsk 15, Avers, Skhidny, Shchedryk, Staly, Rezerv and Repris. Semi-intensive varieties (bi ˂1) include Donetsk 12, Donetsk 14 and Stepovik, with insignificant adaptation to growing conditions. The developed “Method for selecting grain crop varieties for specific soil and climatic growing conditions” (PU No. 153108 of 24.05.2023) makes it possible to analyze the ability of grain crop varieties to form productivity elements in specific soil and climatic conditions. Scientific and methodological recommendations have been developed for a “Systemic method for assessing the stability and adaptability of the spring barley breeding process in conditions of insufficient moisture.” New commercial varieties of spring barley have been created : Shubin (PU No. 230618 of 10/25/2023), Nezlamny (PU No. 230617 of 10/25/2023), General (PU No. 230616 dated 25.10.2023), Pokolenie (PU No. 230619 dated 25.10.2023), Bunchuk (PU No. 240473 dated 28.10.2024). In 2025, the spring barley varieties Vytvir (application No. 2025020014 dated October 20, 2025), Perun (application No. 2025020015 dated October 20, 2025) were submitted for state variety testing.
