The adaptive technology of growing winter wheat in the eastern part of the Northern Steppe of Ukraine, which is based on the principles of biologization and resource conservation, was improved. The influence of different sowing dates and sowing rates on the grain yield of winter wheat varieties of different varieties was established. The best productivity of winter wheat plants of both varieties was formed when sowing on September 25. Thus, the length of the ear of the Yuzovska variety during this period exceeded the indicators for sowing on October 25 by 0.4 cm, and the Vezha variety - by 2.0 cm. The number of grains in the ear of the Yuzovska variety was higher by - 2.9 pcs., and the Vezha variety - by 5.9 pcs., respectively. The most favorable conditions for obtaining a harvest of winter wheat of the Vezha (Lutescens) variety were created at sowing rates of 4.5 million pcs./ha (6.2 t/ha), for the winter wheat variety Yuzovska (Erythrospermum) - 3.5 million pcs./ha (6.9 t/ha). The calculation of economic efficiency demonstrates the highest profitability for seed treatment with the Nova-PEG preparation - 34.8–56.4%. A method for increasing the adaptability of winter wheat plants to the conditions of the eastern part of the Northern Steppe of Ukraine has been developed, which allows stabilizing the production of high-quality grain. A patent for a utility model “Method for selecting grain varieties for specific soil and climatic growing conditions” has been obtained (PU No. 153108 dated 05/24/2023). "Scientific and methodological recommendations for the implementation of adaptive technological methods for growing winter wheat in the eastern part of the Northern Steppe" have been developed.
