Head Ivanina Vadym V., д.с.-г.н. Registration Date 08-12-2025 Organization Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 The aim of the project is to develop the scientific basis for managing the photosynthetic potential of grain sorghum plants and the formation of high bioenergy productivity with the optimization of mineral nutrition in climate change. popup.description2 The effect of doses of mineral fertilizers and silicon on the yield of grain sorghum grown on a background of straw under conditions of unstable moisture on typical weakly saline chernozem (VPDSS); doses of silicon on the cultivation of grain sorghum grown on a background of combined straw and mineral topsoil under conditions of sufficient moisture on leached chernozem (ULDSS) were studied. According to research, it was found that when growing grain sorghum under conditions of sufficient moisture on leached black soil (ULDSS), the highest productivity in 2021-2024 was achieved with the application of 5 t/ha of straw + N120P60K60 + 1.0 l/ha of Si: grain yield - 8.25 t/ha, protein content - 12.0%, biofuel yield - 13.1 t/ha, energy yield - 210 GJ/ha with an excess of control without fertilizers - by 2.5 t/ha, 1.7%, 6.0 t/ha and 96 GJ/ha, respectively. With insufficient moisture, the highest yield and quality of grain sorghum on typical weakly saline chernozem (VPSSS) was achieved with the application of 5 t/ha of straw + N90P60K60 + 1.4 l/ha of Si + Zn, B: grain yield - 8.25 t/ha, protein content - 12.0%, biofuel yield - 13.1 t/ha, energy yield - 210 GJ/ha with an excess of control without fertilizers - by 2.5 t/ha, 1.7%, 6.0 t/ha and 96 GJ/ha, respectively.
