Analysis of the demand of commodity producers for individual varieties allows adjusting the volumes of their production. Priority areas in the development of the agricultural industry of the Donetsk region on bioeconomic principles are increasing the production volumes of spring barley and winter wheat seeds to prevent a food crisis in conditions of destruction and damage to a significant part of crops as a result of military actions. The results of the study include the introduction of innovative elements of technologies, varieties, development of a system for monitoring the use of bioeconomy objects, and the formation of a balanced ratio between individual types of agricultural crops. In drought conditions, Donetsk selection varieties outperform existing ones in terms of yield by 0.8-1.2 t/ha, are characterized by higher winter hardiness (by 0.5 - 1 points), drought resistance (by 0.5 - 1 points), and high adaptive capacity. The use of high-quality varietal seeds allows to increase the grain yield by 20-25%, which allows to stabilize the seed market and increase the efficiency of agricultural production. The greatest demand among commodity producers is for new universal, adaptive, drought-resistant, stably high-yielding varieties of Donetsk selection, such as spring barley varieties - Avers, winter wheat - Vezha and Peremoha. The geography of sales of seeds of DDSDS selection varieties covers the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine. The “Catalog of breeding bioinnovations for introduction into agricultural production in the eastern region of Ukraine” has been formed. “Scientific and methodological recommendations for the development of agricultural production in the Donetsk region in the crisis conditions of martial law based on breeding achievements” has been developed.
