A series of optically pure inherently chiral calixarenoacetic acid derivatives with different alkyl groups on the lower rim were synthesized, their structure and absolute stereochemical configuration were determined, and the enantiodiscriminatory properties of the synthesized monoalkyloxy- and dialkyloxycalix[4]arenoacetic acids were investigated. Calixarene-α-ketophosphonic acids, calixarene-methylenebisphosphonic and thiacalixarene phosphoric acids have been shown to be effective inhibitors of protein tyrosine phosphatases (IC50=1.9 μM). It has been demonstrated that amphiphilic calixarene-hydroxymethylene-bisphosphonic acids form micelles in aqueous solutions. Micelles form complexes with polylysine and HIV-1 nucleocapsid proteins labeled with fluorescent groups. The formed complexes pass through biological membranes into the cell, which opens up prospects for creating targeted delivery systems for peptide drugs. Product Description popup.authors Roman V.
