Genomic DNA was isolated and analysed for quality (purity, quantity) for further storage at -20℃ and for human papillomavirus (HPV) genotyping by quantitative PCR. Genomic DNA was also isolated from 30 matched paired samples of conditionally normal tissue. The performers participated in the workshop "Molecular Mechanisms of Cancer in Retrospect", which was held at the Riga Stradins University (Riga, Latvia), where the preliminary results of this project were presented and discussed.
