Information × Registration Number 0225U004664, (0124U001217) , R & D reports Title Improvement of the elements of biologization of the spring barley fertilization system in the conditions of climatic changes of the Southern Steppe popup.stage_title Удосконалення елементів біологізації системи удобрення ячменю ярого в умовах кліматичних змін Південного Степу Head Burykina Svitlana I., Кандидат сільськогосподарських наук Registration Date 16-12-2025 Organization Odesa State Agricultural Experimental Station of the Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 Development of a biological fertilization system for spring barley popup.description2 As a result of the studies conducted in 2024–2025, it was established that: the nutrient management system for spring barley should be formed depending on resource availability and the intended end use of the yield; under organic production for malting purposes, six-row spring barley varieties and a biological nutrition system are recommended, including three foliar treatments with 3% solutions of the biopreparations Diaktaverm BT or Biohibervit BT & Vitastim BT, which reduced the protein content of the Vakula variety by 12.4% compared with the mineral nutrition system, increased extract concentration in the grain by 14.8% and ensured a yield increase of 16–20%; under a resource-saving farming system, the use of complex fertilizers with combined fertilizing and stimulating effects or extracts from organic fertilizers (products of processing substrates by the black soldier fly H. illucens, two-year composted spent mushroom substrate and cattle manure) ensured, for the two-row variety Enei, a yield increase of 12.6%, an increase in protein content by 0.82% and no reduction in extract content; in intensive farming systems for food purposes, two-row spring barley varieties and a mineral nutrition system with a single application of N60P30K30 or N30P30K30 at sowing, supplemented by top-dressing with N30 at the beginning of the tillering stage, ensured a protein content of 11.6–12.2% and increased yield by 34%; differences were observed in the response of spring barley varieties to climate change and types of fertilizers; the highest dependence on weather conditions was recorded for the Vakula (r = 0.87) and Adapt (r = 0.72) varieties while the most plastic variety was Enei (r = 0.18); the formation of physical traits was determined by the variety by 51–52% while biochemical traits were determined by nutrition systems by 38–40%.
