The subject of research is meadow clover samples of different ecological and geographical origin with increased productivity and adaptability. Research methods – field (phenological observations, assessments), laboratory and measurement and weight (recording of green mass and seed yield), mathematical and statistical (processing of research results), calculation and comparative to determine yield. Research results – 2408 hybrids of the studied crop were in the breeding process, including in 2025 – 434. Of these, 801 hybrids were at the initial stages of the breeding process, including in 2025 – 144, at the final stages – 292 and 64 varietal samples, respectively. As a result of the evaluation, 160 varietal samples were selected for further work. In the nursery for the propagation of promising varietal samples for the reporting period, there were five varieties that met the specified parameters. As a result, the Andriana variety with increased fodder and seed productivity was included in the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine in 2023. Seed work was carried out on the Pavlina and Andriana varieties, and in 2025, nurseries of the preserved varieties Gloria and Ternopilska 4 were laid for the 2026 harvest. The practical value of the work is that the study of local and introduced specimens of meadow clover makes it possible to reduce the volume and increase the efficiency of breeding work.
