To this end, a new numerical model of hydrothermodynamics of cavities in the ocean under shelf glaciers will be developed, which will be implemented in the model of ocean circulation and calculations of the processes of formation of deep ocean waters will be performed. The trajectories of Antarctic water masses will be studied using the Lagrangian model. The potential contamination of the Arctic Ocean with radionuclides under the influence of climate change will be estimated using mathematical models. The work is performed as part of a consortium of leading EU research groups in the fields of polar meteorology, oceanography and climatology. popup.description2 A new numerical particle tracking method has been developed to simulate the transport of radionuclides in a multicomponent oceanic environment (water and multifractional suspended and deposited sediments) using a probabilistic approach to describe the processes of interaction between multiple radioactivity states. The practical significance of the study is in the development of a numerical method that can be used for a wide range of pollution transport problems in a multicomponent environment.
