Purpose - to study the influence of basic tillage and mineral fertilisation on the direction of mineralisation and synthesis processes in typical chernozem. Research methods - microbiological, laboratory and field. Research results. It has been established that the minimum value of the total number of microorganisms is observed in the variant with the use of ploughing, the average - in the variant with the use of No-till technology, the maximum number - when using disking. The application of mineral fertilisers leads to an increase in the total number of microorganisms in the No-till variant at the dose of N16P16K16 by 10.1%, at the dose of N30P60K65 - by 15.1%; in the disking variant - only at the recommended dose of fertilisers (by 3.17%). When ploughing was used, the number of microorganisms decreased by 8.34% at the minimum dose of fertiliser and by 20.3% at the recommended dose of fertiliser. The highest level of humus mineralisation was observed in the variant without fertilisers when ploughing (16.6%), the average - when disking (14.0%), and the minimum - under No-till technology (11.3%). With No-till technology, the application of mineral fertilisers in the recommended dose can reduce the activity of humus mineralisation by 3.67%. Under disc shallow tillage, the application of mineral fertilisers leads to a slowdown in humus mineralisation at the minimum dose by 10.2%, at the recommended dose - by 20.9%; under ploughing - by 20.3 and 59.6%, respectively.
