Results: Based on the results of a two-year state qualification examination, the following varieties of common (spring) hulled barley with a common type of starch were granted the right to be distributed in Ukraine in 2024: Divo Nosivshchyny (patent No. 240378 dated October 1, 2024) and Gubernatorsky (patent No. 240379 dated 01.10.2024). In 2025, for the second year, spring barley varieties with a normal starch type, Volodkovodivytsky (patent No. 250281 dated 21.10.2025) and the spring naked barley variety with modified, waxy starch Obriy Nosivshchyny (patent No. 250282 dated 21.10.2025). Based on the results of the examination, a decision was made to grant the right to distribute these varieties in all geographical areas of Ukraine. In 2025, a variety with improved size and roundness of filmless grain with waxy starch, Vybir Nosivshchyny (application No. 2025020016 dated November 25, 2025), was transferred to the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination.
