According to the newly created model of high-intensity genotypes, the principles of such a model will be developed, ie the creation of varieties that combine in their phenotype high rates of adaptive and productive potentials, thus ensuring yields of 10-12 t/ha with grain quality at the level of strong and valuable wheat. popup.description2 In conditions of climatic fluctuations, methods of breeding soft winter wheat based on the identification of genotypes by biometric characteristics and an intensive variety model have been improved, sources of high indicators of economically valuable traits and properties have been identified, promising for breeding numbers, lines and varieties. 2 new varieties of soft winter wheat have been created, which provide a yield of 9-11 t/ha on irrigated lands, 7-8 t/ha on non-irrigated lands using intensive technology, and meet the requirements for strong and valuable wheat in terms of grain quality; the distribution area of the varieties is the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. The created varieties will be introduced into production by concluding licensing agreements. Application for the soft winter wheat variety Nika Khersonskaya № 24012026 dated 07/16/2024, application for the soft winter wheat variety Yaroslav Tavriysky № 24012029 dated 07/16/2024. The newly created varieties will be used in the production of high-quality winter wheat grain on an area of over 100 thousand hectares of irrigated land and will ensure a yield exceeding the standard by 10-12%. The grain quality of the newly created varieties: protein content in grain – 14%, gluten in flour – 32%, gluten quality – I and II groups, overall quality score – 4.5-5.0 points. The expected economic effect from the introduction of seeds of newly created varieties will be 50-100 million UAH, depending on the reproduction: PP1 – 15.0-30.0 thousand UAH/ha, PP2 – 9.5-19.0 thousand UAH/ha, super-elite – 6.75-13.5 thousand UAH/ha, elite – 5.3-10.6 thousand UAH/ha, and 1st reproduction – 4.9-9.8 thousand UAH/ha.
