The most effective means of plant protection against weeds, diseases and pests will be selected, the methods of post-harvest cleaning of seeds, as well as methods of bringing it to sowing condition will be substantiated. The order of soil and laboratory control will be recommended. popup.description2 Synthetic selections have identified chickpea lines Line X 11–23, Line X 14–23, Line X 17–23, Line X 18–23, Line X 27–23, Line X 28–23, with complex drought tolerance. Line X 30–23. Lentil lines Line Yar 03–23, Line Yar 05–23, Line Yar 07–23, Line Yar 11–23, with complex drought tolerance have been identified. The grain yield of newly created chickpea lines exceeds the standard (variety Dosatok) by 5.2-7.8%. Newly created lentil lines exceed the standard (variety Antonina) by 7.5–8.1%. The maximum yield of chickpea seeds was recorded in the Yaryna variety with the use of herbicides in a mixture of herbicides Imazamox + herbicides Bentazon and manual weeding. On average over the years of research, when applying herbicides in a mixture of d.r. Imazamox + d.r. Bentazon, the yield was 1.70 tons per hectare, which exceeds the control option by 0.52 tons per hectare or 44.1%. An increase in protein and fat content was observed under the influence of a mixture of herbicides d.r. Imazamox + d.r. Bentazon. The use of a mixture of herbicides d.r. Imazamox + d.r. Bentazon increased laboratory germination by 8-10%, and manual weeding increased laboratory seed germination by 9-10%. The application of a mixture of herbicides d.r. Imazamox + d.r. Bentazon increased germination energy by 6-8%. A positive effect of complex microelements during foliar feeding on chickpea and lentil yield indicators was established. The greatest effect was achieved with the use of the drug “Yarylo Active Start PRO + Avangard Complex Legumes”. The yield of lentil seeds when using this drug was 2.49 t/ha, which exceeded the control by 0.56 t/ha or 29.11%. The maximum yield of chickpea seeds when using this drug was 1.70 t/ha, exceeding the control variant (without treatment with microelements) by 0.52 t/ha or 44.1%. The use of the mixture of complex microelements “Yarylo Active Start PRO + Avangard Complex Legumes” increased the germination energy of chickpea seeds by 7–9%, and lentils by 6–8%.
