The strengths and weaknesses of the domestic regulatory and legal framework were identified. It was established that the domestic system of regulatory and methodological regulation in the field of seed production of medicinal and essential oil crops requires a deep update and coordination with international requirements. Based on the results of the research, proposals were developed on ways to update and develop the domestic regulatory and legal framework, based on a combination of internal improvement of the system of standards and procedures and gradual integration with the European regulatory model, which will contribute to improving the quality of seeds, competitiveness of products and expanding its export opportunities.
