It was shown that annealing improves the morphology and crystalline quality of the films. The optical, electrical, and photovoltaic properties of heterostructures with CIGS/ZnS interfaces were studied in comparison with the pristine CIGS/CdS, which are promising for the solar cell design. Details of the structure of energy bands were established, in particular, the width of the band gap of the CIGS material and the height of the barriers at the CIGS/ZnS and CIGS/CdS interfaces. It was shown that CIGS/ZnS structures manifest lower photovoltaic sensitivity compared to CIGS/CdS, although the sensitivity spectrum is the same. It is assumed that the cause of the lower sensitivity is defects, the presence of which was established using Raman and admittance spectroscopy.
