With insufficient soil moisture and high temperatures during the growing season (GTC = 0.40), the yield of spring barley after soybeans depended on the variety by 50.5%, fertilizers – 11.9%, seed sowing rates – 6.9%, after sunflower – 46.1%; 19.2% and 0.4% respectively. The highest yield level, when grown after soybeans, 4.19 t/ha was formed by the filmy barley variety Samorodok on the background of N30P30K30 at seed sowing rates of 4.5 million agricultural seeds/ha. The increase compared to the control was 0.73 t/ha or 21.1%. The highest conditional net income of 14,760–19,428 UAH/ha and 76.9%–100.6% was obtained after the predecessor soybean, against the background of no fertilizers and a seeding rate of 4.0 million agricultural seeds/ha.
