Scientific and methodological recommendations have been formulated for establishing the foundations of the ecologically safe operation of agrophytocenoses on non-irrigated lands of the Southern Steppe. In the Southern Steppe conditions, the highest moisture accumulation under all crop rotation components was observed in variants with deep tillage, including both non-plow and moldboard treatments. It was established that nitrate nitrogen content demonstrates a steady, gradual decrease across all soil tillage variants. Compared to the baseline, the nitrate nitrogen content in the 0-30 cm soil layer under winter wheat and winter rapeseed decreased by 3,2 and 2,4 times, respectively, under deep moldboard tillage (plowing), and by 3,8-4,0 and 2,6–2,8 times under non-plow tillage at various depths. It was determined that the maximum weed density of 6 pcs./m2 in 2025 and 20 pcs./m2 on average over the research period was observed under shallow non-plow tillage after a non-fallow precursor in the first field. However, no significant differences were found in the number of pests or the incidence of Septoria leaf blotch across different crop placement variants and primary tillage systems. The maximum yield of grain units for all crops (16,70 t/ha) was obtained in a crop rotation where winter wheat followed black fallow using moldboard tillage (plowing). Using winter rapeseed after fallow under the same tillage provided a yield lower by 1,09 t/ha. The highest estimated net profit was achieved in crop rotations No. 1 and 2 with black fallow and moldboard tillage, amounting to 27,13 and 24,92 thousand UAH/ha, respectively. The lowest profits were recorded in crop rotations No. 5 and 6, where winter wheat or winter rapeseed followed oil flax under shallow non-plow tillage, reaching 11,95 and 11,78 thousand UAH/ha.
