Baryakhtar Institute of Magnetism of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IMag NAS of Ukraine) popup.description1 A detailed study of ways for controlling nonlinear three- and four-magnon processes in single- and multi-layer magnetic nanostructures, as well as the development of methods of utilization of the revealed features for the extension of spintronics nanoelements functionality. popup.description2 The possibility of efficient control of the intensity and selection rules of three-magnon scattering processes by means of controlled magnetic state symmetry breaking has been demonstrated; for nanodots in a saturated state, the symmetry of the modes participating in the three-magnon process has been found to correspond to the symmetry of the perturbing field. A theory of three-magnon scattering of bulk spin waves on edge modes has been developed, and ways to control this process have been indicated. The functionality of a spin wave amplifier based on stimulated three-magnon scattering has been demonstrated. It has been established that mode hybridization in multilayer nanostructures can be an efficient mechanism for controlling four-magnon processes and, consequently, second-order parametric instability. The influence of nonlinear intermodal interaction on the dynamics of spintronic oscillators is established, and conditions for the realization of single-, two-mode, and bistable regimes of generation and dynamic switching of generation are formulated.
