Registration Date 24-12-2025 Organization Institute of Problems of Modeling in Energy named after GE Pukhov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description1 To increase the efficiency and resilience of local decentralized electric power systems in Ukraine popup.description2 Methodological recommendations have been proposed for implementing the model of a “green” resilient local energy system of Ukraine, including the identification of technical and organizational measures and the roles of key stakeholders (distribution system operators, consumers, and producers). This creates preconditions for strengthening the energy resilience of communities and accelerating progress toward energy security and decarbonization goals. A preliminary techno-economic assessment of the effects of integrating renewable energy sources and energy storage systems at the level of local energy systems has been carried out. The assessment indicates the potential to reduce peak loads and losses, improve reliability, and postpone capital-intensive grid upgrades by distribution system operators; recommendations have also been developed on the use of energy storage to cover deficit hours and enhance daily load-profile balancing. A set of methods and engineering solutions has been developed to improve the power quality and resilience of autonomous/local electric power systems, including: a control method for micro/mini hydropower plants based on hybrid control systems and a fuzzy logic controller; an improved fuzzy proportional–integral control method for regulating the excitation current of a synchronous generator with additional control loops; and a device for stabilizing the frequency and voltage of a generator in an autonomous power-supply network using a combined control system.
