The study is based on a comprehensive analysis of available geological and geophysical data, as well as on new experimental measurements of the natural low-frequency electromagnetic field of the Earth conducted at 14 observation sites. Within the investigated profile, the geological, tectonic, seismic, gravity, thermal, and magnetic structure of the Pre-Carpathian Foredeep is characterized, with particular attention paid to the role of deep faults and junction zones between platform and orogenic structures. The experimental data processing was performed using robust frequency-domain techniques, which ensured reliable estimates of impedance parameters and tippers over a wide range of periods. Interpretation of the MTS and MVP data allowed the identification of zones of increased electrical conductivity within the Earth’s crust and upper mantle, spatially associated with regional tectonic elements, including the Pre-Carpathian, Tyachiv–Nadvirna–Monastyryska, and other deep fault systems. It is established that the detected conductive heterogeneities may represent pathways for deep fluid migration and play an important role in the processes of hydrocarbon generation, migration, and accumulation. The obtained results confirm the complex geoelectric structure of the Pre-Carpathian Foredeep and its potential for further hydrocarbon exploration at significant depths.
