The duration of the growing season of black cumin plants was longer in the second sowing period and was 106 days, the shortest was 93 days in the fourth sowing period. The number of pods on the 1st plant with a row spacing of 15 cm was the largest at a sowing rate of 200 thousand pcs./ha and was 21.0 pcs. in the first sowing period, and with a row spacing of 70 cm – 18.6 pcs. in the fourth sowing period and a sowing rate of 200 thousand pcs./ha. The number of seeds on the 1st plant was the largest – 251 pcs. for the second sowing period and a sowing rate of 200 thousand pcs./ha with narrow-row sowing (15 cm), and for wide-row sowing (70 cm) for the fourth sowing period and a sowing rate of 200 thousand pcs./ha – 216 pcs. The weight of seeds from the 1st plant was the largest for the first sowing period and a sowing rate of 200 thousand pcs./ha for both sowing methods. For a row spacing of 15 cm – 5.69 g, for a row spacing of 70 cm – 4.46 g. For row spacings of 15 and 70 cm, the largest weight of 1000 seeds was obtained for the second sowing period at a plant density of 200 thousand pcs./ha – 2.10 g and 2.18 g, respectively. The highest yield – 0.87 t/ha was obtained with a row spacing of 15 cm and a seeding rate of 400 thousand pcs./ha for the first sowing period, and with a row spacing of 70 cm – 0.61 t/ha with a plant density of 300 thousand pcs./ha and the first sowing period. The highest conditional net profit of 117801 UAH/ha and the highest level of profitability of 927% were obtained with the row sowing method at the first sowing period and a seeding rate of 400 thousand pcs./ha.
