The concept is based on improved methodological approaches to hop breeding, allowing for more effective identification and use of sources and donors of valuable traits in the creation of new breeding material, as well as reducing the cost of breeding work by shortening the duration of the breeding process and using electronic databases and catalogs. There are no analogues in Ukraine. A comprehensive study of the initial genetic material (selection working collection) was conducted for adaptive, economic, and selection traits under the conditions of the 2021-2025 growing seasons. A generalized parametric database for evaluating the traits of breeding genotypes under growing conditions was formed, and a catalog of genotypes of the working breeding collection of hops (electronic database) was developed. New sources and donors of valuable traits were selected, and a group of genotypes was identified for use in further breeding research. A patent has been obtained for the Malachite hop variety and an application has been submitted for the Teteriv hop variety. The research results have been implemented in scientific programs on ISGP breeding and WHO educational and professional programs for training specialists in the H1 specialty “Agronomy".
