The addition of a high Mo content (0.75 wt%), medium Mo content (0.4 wt%), and B (0.003 wt%) facilitated the formation of a small amount of ferrite, which enhances the efficiency of thermal treatment. It was determined that the addition of molybdenum helps to make phosphide and sulfide inclusions more compact. The addition of boron promotes grain refinement and increases the continuity and homogeneity of grain boundaries. A positive effect of the simultaneous addition of Mo and B on structure formation, defect reduction, and improvement of mechanical properties of the Fe-30Mn-10Al-0.8C-0.3Mo-0.003B alloy was established.
