Registration Date 26-12-2025 Organization Uzhhorod National University State Higher Educational Institution popup.description1 The aim of the work is to obtain longitudinal electric and scalar waves as a direct solution of the standard system of Maxwell’s equations with densities of currents and charges of the gradient type. popup.description2 Мonitoring of the work performed in this direction in world science was carried out. A mathematical model of the propagation of longitudinal electromagnetic wave in various media is proposed based on the derivation of a longitudinal electro-scalar wave within the framework of Maxwell's electrodynamics. It is proved that a longitudinal electric wave exists in the vicinity of the charges and currents that generate it. The presented result is directly related to the physical interpretation of a number of experiments and the physical models used there. Various media and systems in which longitudinal electromagnetic waves (LEW) propagate are considered. Special attention is paid to the electron-scalar longitudinal wave. Among longitudinal electromagnetic waves, the dominance of longitudinal electric waves together with accompanying scalar waves is shown. An explanation is proposed within the framework of classical electrodynamics, which is based on Maxwell's equations in terms of electric and magnetic field strengths, without any generalizations of this theory. Our research is also included in the review. A direct procedure for solving the corresponding Maxwell equations is given. A general solution of the system of Maxwell equations with the gradient type of current and charge densities is found. It is shown that the electric field vector contains not only transverse waves, but also a longitudinal component. It is demonstrated that the longitudinal scalar wave is also part of this solution. Thus, the manifestation of longitudinal electromagnetic waves can be mathematically interpreted as a consequence arising from Maxwell's equations.
