The Mg–Nd–Zr alloy system was substantiated as a promising basis for biodegradable implant materials with controlled degradation rates and biomechanical compatibility with bone tissue. The effects of alloying, microalloying, and severe plastic deformation on the microstructure and properties of magnesium alloys were investigated. It was shown that targeted control of the structural state of magnesium alloys enables the achievement of an optimal combination of mechanical strength and controlled corrosion behavior in simulated physiological environments. For titanium alloys of the Ti–Mo, Ti–Al–V, and Ti–Mo–Al–V systems produced by powder metallurgy, the possibility of tailoring elastic modulus and strength through controlled porosity architecture was demonstrated. Based on the obtained results, technological recommendations for processing magnesium and titanium alloys for medical implants were developed. Product Description popup.authors Dmytro V.
