The study of systematic, morphological, physiological, geographical, population, sozological features of Podillya biodiversity and directions of its transformation popup.description2 The theme “Biodiversity of Podillia” is aimed at a comprehensive study of the current state of the flora and fauna of the Podillia region, the peculiarities of anthropogenic impact on natural ecosystems, the conservation of rare and valuable species, as well as the deepening of the scientific basis for environmental protection in conditions of growing technogenic load. Podillia is one of the most valuable regions of Ukraine in terms of nature, distinguished by its high floristic and faunistic diversity, unique geological structure, and the presence of significant areas of protected territories and rare biotopes. At the same time, increased anthropogenic pressure, the development of new territories, quarrying, changes in the hydrological regime, and climatic transformations pose new challenges for biodiversity conservation. Main results: 1. Floristic surveys, phytoindication analysis, and assessment of the state of plant communities in natural and technogenically transformed areas were conducted. Species diversity, ecological groups, and indicator properties of plants were determined. 2. The fauna of various taxonomic groups was recorded and characterized, the distribution and status of animal populations were determined, and ecological factors affecting their numbers and biotopes were identified. 3. A comprehensive assessment of the state of ecosystems was carried out, the influence of anthropogenic factors was studied, the structural and functional features of natural complexes were analyzed, and trends in their change were outlined.
