The strucrure and operating modes of the electron beam-based radiating facility «TEMP», capable of providing for desirable output product’s parameters, specifically such of relativistic electron beams and X-ray bremsstrahlung. 2. The electromagnetic oscillations of VHF range as generated in non-vacuumized electrodynamic structures that involve no electron beams but contain a layered ferrite- dielectric filling and in the relativistic magnetron. The work is aimed at. 1. Upgrading the beam-based EM field radiating facility «TEMP», in order to reach the levels of parameters of the relativistic electron beams and of the X-ray bremsstrahlung radiation that should prove useful for modifying the surfaces of construction materials and such of nuclear reactors’ structural units. 2. Improving the real-life and numerical models of the ferrite-dielectric transmission lines that involve no electron beams, in order to use them for experimental and analytically-numerical identification of their dispersion properties. Providing for parameter stability of the VHF emission from the relativistic magnetron, especially of its power. Principal results. 1. The structure of the REP transportation channel at the «TEMP» radiation beam complex has been restored and significantly modernized. The pulse voltage generator has been restored, the bremsstrahlung converter unit has been manufactured. The total dose of bremsstrahlung X-ray for one pulse of REP in the direction of the anterior hemisphere was determined - it is about 388 Gy. 2. For the first time in the art, the dispersion curve of oscillations in the ferrite-dielectric line has been recorded in experiments that represented sounding of the line with a low-voltage harmonic wave form.
