The relationship between economic growth and inequality is examined. A historical analysis of the concept of the middle class is conducted, and the key factors of its formation and measurement criteria are highlighted. The relationship between economic inequality and gender, as well as migration aspects of the labour market in Ukraine, is analysed. The impact of digital infrastructure, the spread of digital financial services, and the development of IT clusters on regional and sectoral inequality in Ukraine is assessed.
