A total of 64 hectares of plantations and adjacent windbreaks were surveyed. During the surveys, signs of bacterial bark necrosis were detected, as well as the colonization of shoots by harmful insects (mainly apple aphids and pear leafhoppers). 59 bacterial isolates were isolated from the samples selected for analysis. The presence of the pathogen of bacterial bark necrosis (Pseudomonas syringae van Hall) was confirmed in the studied samples. The pathogen of bacterial burn (Erwinia amylovora (Burrill) Winslow et al) was not detected.
