Registration Date 29-12-2025 Organization National Research Center "VE Tairov Institute of Viticulture and Enology" popup.description1 Improvement of existing plant protection systems with measures against the disease of drying of combs. popup.description2 The results of phytosanitary monitoring indicate that in modern conditions of viticulture, drying of the ridges is a common disease in industrial grape plantations in the south of Ukraine. It was found that table grape varieties (Muscat Zhemchuzhny, Arcadia, Odessa Souvenir, Moldova) are most affected by the disease. On average, over two years (2024-2025), the prevalence of the disease was on average 12-16%, the development of the disease was from 10% to 14%. On technical varieties (Aligote, Riesling Rhine, Chardonnay, Pinot group varieties, Traminer rose, etc.), the disease had a low degree of spread, not exceeding 7-8% with development degrees from 2 to 6%, which indicates their high field endurance. The system for controlling grape ridge drying has been improved and implemented based on a modern range of fungicides and plant growth biostimulants (a complex of amino acids - proline, glutamic acid, glycine and others as part of the Izabion preparation (3.0 l/ha). The use of these preparations is a supplement to the existing system of protective measures and involves use three times per growing season depending on the ripening dates of grape varieties. Recommendations have been provided to production regarding the timing of monitoring the development of the disease and improvement and the timing of treatment with the Izabion preparation.
