The object of research is the genetic diversity of melon crops. Research methods: field, visual, measurement and weighing, laboratory, mathematical and statistical, using proven methodological recommendations. A selection and genetic evaluation of melon crop samples was carried out based on a set of morphological and economic characteristics and properties. 17 samples of melon, watermelon, and pumpkin were introduced, and directions for their use as source material for selection were determined. A database of the economic value of samples based on key economic indicators was created, and valuable sources of early maturity, productivity, large fruit size, multi-fruitness, and high quality were identified. Four valuable samples of melon crops were selected and submitted for registration. Samples of melon Titovka and Samarska are distinguished by a combination of early ripening, high yield, and resistance to environmental factors, surpassing the analogue in early maturity by 5–10 days, yield by 3.8–9.7 t/ha, resistance to biotic and abiotic factors (by 1 point). Samples of pumpkin Narodny and Muscat De Luxe are distinguished by a combination of increased yield and average fruit weight with environmental resistance, surpassing analogues in yield by 7.3–19.4 t/ha, average fruit weight by 2.6–4.2 kg, resistance by 1 point. Information was compiled on the parameters of the main identifying characteristics of pumpkins according to 16 characteristics and 35 levels of their expression, and 21 standard varieties were identified.
