The object of the research is the modern educational process in higher education institutions (HEIs) in the context of information technologies and current programming technologies. The purpose of the research is to study topical issues of modern computer science, programming technologies, and the specifics of using information technologies in the educational process of HEIs, as well as to generalize the experience of practical application of scientific knowledge in accordance with contemporary requirements. Research objectives include analyzing the current state of ICT integration into the educational environment; identifying relevant areas of modern computer science and the role of leading technologies (AI, ML, Big Data, Cloud Computing) in education and science; studying the problems and challenges of specialist training in the context of digitalization, including ethical aspects and cybersecurity; and developing practical recommendations for the effective use of information technologies and modern programming technologies to improve the quality of the educational process. The paper analyzes works of Ukrainian and international scholars, reveals the features of distance and blended learning, and examines psychological and pedagogical aspects of IT implementation and their impact on the development of students’ critical thinking. The developed and tested methodological approaches to the use of modern information technologies are being implemented in the educational process of Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University.
