Object of research: the system of modern foreign journalism and its axiological (value) guidelines. The purpose of the study is to identify the main trends in foreign journalism (for the period 2021-2025) and the leading axiological dominants of modern foreign journalism and to find out how they affect the content, standards, ethical practices and transformation of media systems in the global information environment in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Research methods: Comparative historical analysis, content analysis of materials from leading media, a systematic approach, a method of critical discursive analysis, elements of media monitoring, as well as structural-functional and typological analysis. Results obtained. The key axiological dominants of modern foreign journalism (democracy, freedom of speech, ethical responsibility, transparency, factuality, countering disinformation) in media practices of different countries were identified. Trends in the value evolution of journalism under the influence of digitalization, global crises and information wars were identified. The meaning of the main terms and concepts has been clarified, in particular: “Truth”, “Untruth”, “Fact-checking”, “Media”, “Social Communications”. Recommendations have been formulated for the integration of positive foreign practices into the Ukrainian media space.
