On the basis of Western Ukrainian manuscripts from the 17th–18th centuries, an in-depth historical and linguistic analysis of the sound system was conducted, dialectal differences were identified, and the grammatical features of contemporary speech were characterized. A significant place is occupied by the ethnocultural aspect, in which language is viewed as a set of linguocultural codes. In particular, the symbolism of flora and fauna in the works of Bukovinian authors was analyzed, as well as cognitive models of good and evil in phraseology and the reflection of the Christian–pagan worldview in ritual songs. Special attention is given to the practical application of language and its impact on the addressee through stylistic devices and communicative situations of inducement. The functioning of vocative sentences and the potential of syntactic constructions in literary works were also examined. An important area of research remains the study of the dialects of Northern Bukovina in the context of regional language differentiation. In addition, effective methods of language teaching in educational institutions have been identified, whereby the use of fairy tales, paremias, and elective courses contributes to the formation of linguistic competence in future philologists.
