DYSTROPHY, DOMINANT LETHAL MUTATIONS, NEURODEGENERATION, NEUROPROTECTORS, BEHAVIORAL REACTIONS, NATURAL POPULATIONS, LIFESPAN, DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER, DROSOPHILA SIMULANS. Object of study: survival and behavioral changes in wild-type D. melanogaster individuals and sws gene mutants and the dystrophin gene under the influence of experimental water samples or potential protectors; as well as lines of natural populations of D. simulans treated and untreated with tetracycline. The purpose of the work is to determine the mutagenic activity of water samples from the Zubra River, the lifespan and behavioral reactions in mutants of D. melanogaster for the sws and dystrophin genes under the influence of spermidine, curcumin and calendula extract, survival parameters and cold resistance of D. simulans lines with different Wolbachia infection status. Research methods: genetic, histological, physiological, behavioral, microscopy, morphological, statistical (mathematical) data processing. Results. It was found that the frequency of Oregon line imago on seasonal water samples from the Zubra River did not differ from the control and was 90.56% - 97.08%, while the frequency of DLM was 1.6 - 3.4 times higher. It was found that the amount of consumption of different media by wild-type Oregon-R flies and sws1 mutants did not differ, while the gustatory behavior in sws1 mutants was impaired. Consumption of calendula extract and curcumin solution contributed to the improvement of survival rates of dystrophin mutants of Drosophila, and increased their motor activity. Individuals of natural populations of Drosophila simulans showed viability when cultivated at 18°C and at 25°C, without and after treatment with the symbiont Wolbachia.
