The purpose of the research is the development of scientific principles, mathematical models and experimental methods for investigating non-stationary processes in electromagnetic and electrotechnological systems of pulsed electromagnetic influence on conductive and dielectric media using eddy currents and pulsed barrier discharge, the development of mathematical models of electromagnetic systems with pulsed discrete-single control as components of the power supply system of electrotechnological equipment. Research methods – experimental determination of the regularities of pulsed barrier discharge using electrical, optical, spectral, and chemical research methods; mathematical modeling of electromagnetic fields in the system “electromagnetic inductor – conductive medium”; mathematical modeling of transformer–switch structures with pulsed discrete-single control. Approximate mathematical models of a non-uniform field have been developed, enabling the determination of current density and surface mechanical pressure during magneto-impulse processing of products, under which the magnetoplastic effect is achieved. The developed calculation method is intended for determining processing modes of welded joints of thin-sheet products (1–3 mm) both after welding and during the welding process. An algorithm has been developed for approximating systems of integro-differential equations on combined grids to systems of algebraic equations, followed by their joint solution, which is used to calculate the eddy-current density in massive bodies and in the region of a liquid conductor for a non-stationary MHD process.
