The object of research is oxidants that are formed in the process of the Fenton chemical reaction. The subject of research is the processes of oxidation of the organic component during the removal of radionuclide from water. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the optimal parameters of the technology for preparing drinking water when water is taken from local water supply sources in the war and post-war period. Research methods are analytical, experimental. Results and their novelty. According to the results of the conducted research, it was found that among modern strong oxidants (hydrogen peroxide, Fenton reagent, ozonation with cavitation), the highest efficiency of neutralizing the organic component in the retention of radionuclides and iron and manganese ions was demonstrated by oxidants formed as a result of the Fenton chemical reaction. The optimal technological scheme for water purification from local surface water supply sources is a scheme that provides for preliminary water purification from phytoplankton in polystyrene foam loading with a granule diameter of 10-12 mm and additional water purification using a bioreactor and polystyrene foam clarification filter with a granule diameter of d=2-4 mm. Optimal conditions for sorption and sedimentation of heavy metal ions and radionuclides are created in a settling tank-adsorber, which uses a thin-layer module. The final result of the research is the optimal parameters of the technology for preparing drinking water when water is taken from local water supply sources in the war and post-war period. The scientific novelty lies in establishing the optimal parameters of water treatment facilities, filter materials and reagents that implement an effective technological scheme for purifying natural water.
