To expand and ensure the use of the genetic diversity of winter triticale in the conditions of Western Polissia by establishing identification elements of the component system of valuable economic traits for culture samples with increased adaptive properties to the conditions of the region popup.description2 Object of research: growth and development processes, yield formation, economically valuable traits, qualitative and physical indicators of winter triticale samples. Research goal: to determine the variability of yield, qualitative and physical indicators of the winter triticale collection. A study was conducted to expand the diversity of genotypes, donors of economically valuable traits and properties of triticale that are valuable for Western Polissya. The level of yield, quality and disease resistance of the collection of winter triticale samples that will best meet the soil and climatic conditions of Western Polissya was studied. The database of valuable genetic and economic sources of winter triticale in the Western Polissya zone was replenished and updated for use by breeders in creating new varieties. 42 samples of winter triticale were studied in field conditions. Of these, 7 samples were introduced (4 - Ukraine, 2 - Poland, 1 - France). The samples were classified according to 36 morpho-biological and economic characteristics. The following reference samples were selected according to valuable economic characteristics: Shchedre Nosivske (UKR) - high stem density; Buzhanske (UKR) - high level of winter hardiness; Myrolan (UKR), Ranteon (POL) Triskell (FRA), Pudik (UKR) - high level of yield; MIP Phoenix (UKR), Myrolan (UKR), Yatagan (UKR), Pudik (UKR), Ingen 93(MDA), Oleksandra (UKR) - high weight of 1000 grains; Solodyuk (UKR), Pudik (UKR), Yegor (UKR) - high resistance to the main pathogens.
