Polevoy, д.геогр.н. Registration Date 07-01-2026 Organization Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University popup.description1 The purpose of the research is to assess the impact of climate change on the bioclimatic potential of arable lands of Ukraine, as well as the impact of changed agroclimatic resources on the formation of potential productivity of agriculture. crops, development of recommendations for changing the structure of sown areas in Polissya, Forest-Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine. popup.description2 Based on the results of the World Climate Research Programme, a set of climate change scenarios was used, namely Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP), an assessment of changes in agroclimatic resources (heat supply, moisture supply) of arable lands of Ukraine under climate change conditions was performed and a comparison was made with long-term agroclimatic data published in the Agroclimatic Handbook of Ukraine (1986-2015). Based on this, a study of the impact of climate change on the bioclimatic potential of arable lands of Ukraine, the formation of potential productivity of major agricultural crops, and recommendations were formulated regarding changes in the structure of sown areas in Polissya, Forest-Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine. Agroclimatic zoning of the territory of Ukraine was carried out on a medium scale (1:150000) for open flat land conditions based on the bioclimatic potential of arable land and the soil-climatic potential score of cereals, sugar beet and sunflower for average long-term conditions (base period) and under the conditions of implementation of the RCP 4.5 (soft) and RCP 8.5 (hard) scenarios.
