The study subject was fields of sunflower female forms ‘Skh66A’, ‘Skh588A’, and ‘OdOl1A’; male forms ‘Kh526V’, ‘Kh1814V’, and ‘Kh2283V’; sunflower hybrids ‘Kadet’, ‘Kosmos’, ‘Yarylo’, and ‘Epikur’; plant growth regulators AKM, Antistress, and Endophyt L1; microfertilizers Raykat Start, Mikrokat Oil Crops, Atlante, Aminokat 30, ENDO CuZnB (Endobor brand), Avangard NPK+M/E Start, Avangard Grow Amino, Avangard Boron, Avangard Sunflower, Avangard PK, and Avangard Grow Humate; macrofertilizers Magnesium Sulfate and Urea; fungicides Barion and Exor. The project purpose was to establish and theoretically substantiate variability patterns of vegetative and generative development of sunflower plants under the influence of modern growth regulators and microfertilizers and, on this basis, to develop a technology for producing seeds of parental components of sunflower hybrids depending on varietal characteristics and agroclimatic conditions of a growing zone. Methods - field and laboratory experiments, collection and accumulation of information and computer processing of data. Results and Novelty. For the first time in Ukraine, a method for increasing the production of top-quality basic sunflower seeds has been developed; the method is based on the differentiated and complex use of effective domestic and foreign plant growth regulators, microfertilizers and their mixtures. Methodological guidelines were developed; Patent’s for a utility model were received. The developed scientific products have been implemented in scientific institutions and agricultural enterprises in the eastern forest-steppe and northern steppe of Ukraine.
