The purpose of the work: – to establish the optimal varietal composition of potatoes for cultivation in the conditions of Western Polissya, Ukraine. The highest productivity among early-ripening varieties was provided by Mirami – 27.0 t/ha and somewhat lower by Skarbnytsia and Shchedryk – 26.4 t/ha, in the medium-early varieties, the Melaniya variety – 26.4 t/ha. In the medium-early group, the highest productivity was in the Myroslava varieties – 37.6 t/ha, Javelina – 35.1 t/ha and Knyahynya – 32.3 t/ha. The best indicators of economic efficiency were obtained for the cultivation of the following varieties: among the early group, the Mirami variety stood out – 35532 UAH/ha, somewhat lower by Shchedryk and Skarbnytsia – 34212 UAH/ha; among the medium-early varieties, the Melaniya variety stood out – the economic effect of cultivation was 34212 UAH/ha; The largest list of new promising varieties is represented by the mid-season group: the Myroslava variety with an economic efficiency parameter of 73,152 UAH/ha; the Javelina variety – 53,352 UAH/ha; the Knyahynya variety – 47,192 UAH/ha.
