Based on the results of research conducted in the Polissya region of Ukraine, the Karelia, Corinna and Otolia varieties can be recommended for inclusion in the potato gene pool collection based on the following characteristics: in terms of yield - Karelia, Corinna and Otolia; for average marketable tuber weight - Karelia, Corinna and Otolia, for number of tubers per bush - Karelia, for starch content in tubers - Karelia. Information on the backcrosses of multispecies hybrids G10.3с1, G10.3с11, G10.12с1, G10.1г69, G15.7с15, G15.32с77 has been submitted and registered in the National Catalogue of Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine. Among the material of the first and second generations of tubers from backcrossing interspecific hybrids, combinations were selected in which there was a significant frequency of selection of forms with a high manifestation of economically valuable traits. Nine cross combinations were selected for yield; five for large tubers; two for multiple tubers; four for starch content; and two for a complex of economically valuable traits. In the nursery of forms for in-depth study, the following sources of economically valuable traits were identified: 22 with early yield accumulation; with high yield during the main harvest – 43 samples, large-tuber – 16, multi-tuber – 20, with high starch content in tubers – 4. Eleven backcrosses with high resistance to Fusarium sp (above 8 points) were selected, 15 backcrosses with high resistance to tuber late blight (above 8 points), 7 backcrosses with high resistance to potato late blight (above 7 points), against the pathogen Ditylenchus destructor T.
