The germination period without the use of growth regulators on the mother roots of the Lira variety was 21 days. It was found that treating the mother roots with gibberellic acid at a dose of 0.75 mg/l reduced the germination period by 7 days (14 days). When the dosage was reduced to 0.5 mg/l, germination began on the 16th day (5 days less than in the control). Conversely, when the dose was increased to 1 mg/l, the germination process was inhibited and the first shoots appeared on the 20th day. The use of Gumifield Forte Max at doses of 0.7 and 0.8 l/t reduced the germination period by 5 days (16 days from planting in the soil). As in the case of gibberellic acid, increasing the concentration of the solution to 0.9 l/t did not produce the desired effect. Germination was observed on the 20th day after planting in the soil. The use of growth regulators during germination in the Porto Amarelo sweet potato variety did not produce the same results as in the Lira variety. Only the use of gibberellic acid at a dose of 0.75 ml/l reduced the germination period by 3 days (18 days versus 21 days without treatment with growth regulators). When Gumifield Forte Max was applied at a dose of 0.9 l/t, loss of mother tubers was observed in all replicates, and only one tuber germinated on the 38th day of germination. The highest results for both the Porto Amarelo and Lira varieties were obtained when treated with a dose of 0.2 l/ha. The yield of the Porto Amarelo variety was 791 g/bush with an average marketable tuber weight of 508.7 g, while the control variety yielded 487 g/bush with an average marketable tuber weight of 342.2 g.
