The purpose of the research is to theoretically substantiate and empirically verify a system of socio-psychological characteristics, indicators, and conditions of social and psychological support for specialists’ development in crisis and post-crisis conditions. At the first stage of the research, a theoretical analysis of the main scientific approaches to the problem of personality and professional development was conducted. The purpose, objectives, and stages of the study were clarified and substantiated. The results of this stage were presented at department seminars, scientific conferences, and round tables, including the publication of abstracts (70) and scientific professional publications (32). In addition, the research results were implemented in the educational process through supervision of research activities of higher education students at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. The criteria for specialists’ development were substantiated within the value-motivational, cognitive-affective, and conative-reflective spheres. It was determined that professional development is influenced by a combination of subjective, objective, and objective-subjective factors. The development of specialists is a key prerequisite for effective professional activity, successful adaptation to changes in the social environment, and orientation toward socially significant activities. It contributes to the formation of personal, social, and professional perspectives, as well as to the development of altruism, responsibility, professional culture, and empathy, ensuring specialists’ self-realization in the socionomic sphere.
