Research results —It was established that the use of satellite information and GIS is an important tool for improving agro-resource management under climate change and for enhancing information and advisory support to agricultural production regarding climate-change adaptation. Satellite indicators of climate change and military impacts on the agro-resources of Ukraine’s Forest-Steppe zone were identified. The information base “AGROKOSMOS–Forest-Steppe” was developed, integrating meteorological parameters, satellite vegetation indices, and statistical data on the structure of sown areas and yields of major crops for the period 1979–2024. An acceleration of warming during the growing season was identified across all three natural provinces of the Forest-Steppe (western, central, and eastern). Over 1982–2024, the growing-season temperature increased by 2.9–3.2°C, accompanied by a decreasing trend in annual precipitation. A lengthening of the growing season by 14–35 days, depending on the region, was revealed. The effectiveness of the satellite indicators NDVI, TCI, VCI, and VHI for monitoring the consequences of climate change and their impacts on agro-resources was assessed. A positive effect of warming on vegetation condition, as reflected by the NDVI index, was established. Global experience in developing strategies for adapting agricultural production to climate change was analyzed, and scientific recommendations titled “Adaptation of Agroecosystems of Ukraine’s Forest-Steppe to Climate Change” were developed. These recommendations include measures for restoring soil fertility, protecting soils from erosion degradation, forming bioenergy agroecosystems with limited use of industrial resources and energy, applying soil-protective tillage technologies, optimizing crop rotations, and implementing information-based digital agrotechnologies.
